Deep thoughts by Dayton
Tonight during scripture study we were reading about the tree of life and how Nephi prayed to know more about the tree and the fruit and he received an answer to his prayer in the form of a vision and learned about what the tree of life symbolized.
Dayton says, "What if we pray about the tree of life and ask about what the white fruit is and he (Heavenly Father) answers us that it's fruit"----we all laughed and that was the end of scripture study. I guess you have to be there. Dayton's awesome.

Blogging??? What??
My little sister Tami came to town and helped me set up my blog. She might has well have been speaking in chinese when she was telling me how to do everything. I use to consider myself pretty good on the old computer/internet but it just hasn't been in the routine for quite some time. I'll give a quick update on my life/family just in case it takes another visit from Tami in order for me to update again.
I married a guy named Travis Jensen back in 98' and since then I have popped out 4 cute kids. Landon is eight years old and in 3rd grade, Dayton is 6 and in 1st grade, Reece is 2 and into everything and Sadie is 2 months old and just in. We live in Erie Colorado which is just north of Denver. We have lived in Colorado for 5 years and are enjoying it here. I stay home with my kids and love being a mom. Travis is a legitimate drug dealer and worked for Pfizer for about 7 years but took a new job with a fairly new company called Actelion which is a biopharmaceutical company. He is a training manager for the company and loves teaching the new and old sales force. Well I'm going to try and post this now and see if I did it right...cross your fingers.

Sadie's homecoming!
Sadie is such a good baby, even with big brother Reece constantly kissing her she doesn't make a peep. Reece was not jealous at all, rather he is always trying to give her "loves". I am definitely excited to have some pink in the house finally! Welcome to your new home Sadie! We love you!

The Birth of Sadie Ann Jensen
On July 22, 2008 we were blessed to welcome our little Sadie Ann into the world. She was born at 3:22pm weighing 8lbs. 4oz and 21 inches long. I was scheduled to be induced on the 22nd which was a few days after my "due" date but I actually went into labor the night before and came into the hospital at around 4am. Sadie is my only child that I have gone into labor on my own with. I was induced with all of my boys. It still took several hours (14) to get her here. Everything went fairly well except I did get a spinal headache from my epidural which caused me to puke with every contraction. Needless to say I was exhausted by the time she finally came. Dr. Austin and my OB nurses were fabulous and minus the headache it was the best delivery I've had. The important thing was that Sadie was perfectly healthy and we headed home after just one night at the hospital. I ended up going back to the hospital for a blood patch to get rid of the headache. It was a quick procedure that led to instant relief. Grandma Erin came out to help us with the boys so that Travis could be with me and Sadie in the hospital. It was so nice not to have to worry about the boys knowing they were in good loving hands. Not to mention my house a lot cleaner when I came home than when I left. It was great to have her here with us for the week. Here are some pics of our new addition to the family. We love you Sadie!

Father and Son Campout

About two weeks before I was due with our baby girl was the annual Father and son campout. Travis was planning on taking Landon and Dayton but as he was packing and loading the car little Reece went and got his backpack and started packing his stuff into it. He walks out of his room and says "I all ready to go". Of course he was the cutest thing ever so Travis was good enough to take him along. I was left at home alone 9 months pregnant, I almost didn't know what to do with myself. This is the first night I had been without Reece since he was born, over two years. I was a little sad. I went to subway and then went and browsed a few shops but eventually ended up on my couch and I watched 27 dresses (I think that is what it is called). Travis and the boys had fun roasting marshmellows and hot dogs, and the usual campout stuff. Travis was a little stressed because some dads were not very vigilant about watching their kids and several almost fell down into this huge hole. The next morning the boys had fun riding four wheelers and hiking and throwing rocks at an old abandoned car that was at the bottom of the pit?? Okay, nice campsite! Overall I think the boys had a blast and Travis was glad they all lived.
My kids look exactly how I do when I go camping! I guess that is why I prefer the Hilton. A face only a mother could love! I sure missed them.

4th of July Race 2008
The Erie Fourth of July 4K run! Travis and the kids took to racing this 4th of July in Erie Colorado. Travis ran the 4K. Landon and Amberly ran the .4K and Dayton, Skyler, Reece and Kenadee ran the 40 yard dash.

Travis took 2nd place in his age division. You can see in this picture he just barely missed 1st place at the finish line. He took 4th place overall.

All the kiddos received ribbons!
