Timpanogos Cave

While we were in Utah we decided to hike up to Timp Cave.  I haven't been there in years and Travis hasn't ever been there.  We loaded up the kids and off we went.

It seemed like a repeat of the Diamond Head hike earlier this summer with my hot buff husband Travis carrying both Reece and Sadie up the mountain.  I was enough behind Travis with Landon and Dayton that people coming down didn't realize we were "with" them and they kept saying things like, "I can't believe that guy is carrying two kids up the mountain".  I must have heard that 10 times going up.  One lady even gave him a thumbs up with a "Your the man" comment.  I'm not much of a hiker but it was interesting to see the difference of hiking in Hawaii at sea level and then hiking in Utah at higher elevation.  Needless to say I prefer Hawaii, the altitude does make a difference.
The kids took a few breaks along the way but did awesome.
In the cave it is pretty chilly so we had our sweatshirts on hand.

On the way down I volunteered to take Sadie (mainly because I didn't want to deal with Reece, he wants up, he wants down, he wants this and that) and this way I could set the pace and leave the other kids to dad, aren't I nice :).
It was a fun family excursion although the cave is smaller than I remember or else I'm just bigger.  The kids thought it was great.  After the hike we went to Los Hermanos (one of our favorite Utah places) for lunch.  It turned out to be a great day together.

We'll have to try that hike next time we're there (we never did when we lived there... shame on us!). Los Hermanos was one of our fav's too. We did make it to Kneaders though. Yum.

Geez, what an adventure! Have not been there since I was a kid. I bet your "hot buff husband" didn't mind all the compliments and thumbs up.
