Christmas Morning!

Christmas morning at around 6am we found out that Santa came!
New BMX bike for Dayton
New mountain bike for Landon
Jeep for Reece and Kitchen for Sadie
Electric bike for Dayton and Landon
Fun play preschool for Reece from Grandma and Grandpa Jensen
Landon made this jewelry box for Sadie Ann. He worked really hard on it, I love seeing my kids taking time to make things for their siblings, it's so fun.
One of my favorite presents to give was for Reece. COWBOY BOOTS! He has wanted some for months and I found these at Gymboree....yeah!
Landon made me a beautiful bookmark that he personally weaved at school!
Dayton gave Reece some hand puppets that they can make together!
Dayton made Landon a leather pocketknife holder! And a surprise $5 bill.
Landon also made a bookmark for Dayton and gave him a $20 bill of his own money!
A Garmin Watch for Dad, it does everything except run for you. (This was actually suppose to be for his birthday in November but mom is slow so I threw it in with Christmas)
Dayton made this butterfly hair bow for Sadie and Mom gave her some Cinderella sparkly light up shoes...which she loves!
Gift cards to GameStop from Grandma and Grandpa Honeycutt! Big Hit!
Books, candy and cold hard cash from Grandma and Grandpa Jensen! Yeah!
Ride on car from Grandma and Grandpa Honeycutt! Princess Edition. Loved it!

Habla Espanol? Trav wanted and received the Rosetta Stone Spanish Set.

You know what are a girls best friend. I'm too spoiled and surprised. I had no idea what Travis and the kiddos got me.
Landon spent a lot of time making Reece 30 Paper airplanes! Reece loved it.
Reece spent a good part of Christmas day playing with the race car track from Grandma and Grandpa Honeycutt. Thank you!
Dayton made these cute place cards at school for the family. Little fingerprints made into little people. I love the stuff my kids make, they are the best gifts. We put them right to use for our christmas breakfast, which happened at about 11am.
Merry Christmas to all our family and friends. Thank you for all the gifts but especially for being a very important part of our lives. We love you.

Christmas Eve Night 2009

As bedtime on Christmas Eve approached we had our annual
"Open one present from mom and dad"
which is always the very exciting pajama's.

After opening new pajama's we decided to watch the
"Joy to the World"
dvd that shares the Christmas story of our Savior's birth. It was interesting to watch the kids watch the story. They were really quiet and really paying attention. Afterword I think it was the first night we didn't have to ask twice for the kids to hop in bed.

Christmas Eve Dinner with the Yates

We were lucky enough to be invited to a prime rib Christmas Eve dinner by some of our bestest friends Fred and Susan Yates. I love it when you find a friend who is more like a sister and better when your husband likes her husband! We love hanging out with the Yates and as our impending move to AZ gets closer and closer I'll take all the opportunities I can.
Here is a classy picture of Susan, such the host! Love it.
Sadie and Megan
Travis and Fred get along great and often play basketball together. Trav loves it when they are on the same team but always wants a back rub when he has to play against Fred. Apparently he has to use more energy since Fred is so Tough!
I'll finish cooking right after some bubbly! (Apple cider of course!)

Sorry about the closed eyes Susan. I love how excited Landon looks to be getting some asparagus. The food was delicious! So much that I think we will be starting the prime rib Christmas Eve tradition. (So I'll be calling, emailing, facebooking for the recipe)
I'll I had to do was bring dessert--cheesecake. Which sadly was store bought but that's just the kind of day, week, month it's been for me.
It was a wonderful night. Thanks for having us!

Coal Creek Ward Christmas Party

Good food, good friends and lots of fun.
Dayton creating a marshmallow snowman
Reece had a chance to tell Santa all on his list
Sweet christmas songs from all the primary kids

Disney on Ice

I thought it would be super fun to take the kids to see the Disney on Ice show that was in Denver. It wasn't quite the Disney experience you get when you actually go to Disneyworld but we still had fun (until the fairy part where Landon and Dayton looked like they wanted to slash their wrists).
Getting ready for the Action!
I think dad thought we were at a hockey game and didn't realize this was figure skating til it started. Just kidding.

Overpriced popcorn and cotton candy always make things better.
Landon and Dayton were mocking Reece's Lighting McQueen hat.

Reece didn't think that was very funny!

We enjoyed being together even if it wasn't quite what we thought it would be.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.....

Trimming the tree
Look at little Sadie she is a natural
Attempting to make chocolate covered pretzel molds

Poor Reecer man, he has been sick for a week and didn't want anything to do with decorating the tree or making the chocolate pretzels but still attempted to smile for a picture. We love you buddy, get well soon.
